GM Reveals 2010 Chevrolet Camaro Convertible Photos

2010 Chevrolet Camaro Convertible Pre-Production Model Photo General Motors has revealed these low-res pictures of the new Chevy Camaro convertible pre-production model without camouflage. According to GM's blog , "As a reward for your interest – and your patience – here’s a sneak peak of the convertible version of the Camaro, which is also undergoing a similar evaluation as we ready it for full production later next year. (Preproduction models shown. Actual production models may vary.)"

2010 Chevrolet Camaro Convertible Pre-Production Model Photo While nothing new has been revealed about Camaro from these convertible model photos, it does give us some food for thought. There are a number of changes that have been made to the car since we first saw the prototype spy shots. GM has done away with the odd looking lights going for the standard, much better, light unit. The car also comes with what appears to be twin exhausts and the strong lines of the coupe have not been sacrificed by the retractable soft roof.

The Chevy Camaro is expected to make its debut at the 2009 Detroit Auto Show.

2010 Chevrolet (Chevy) Cobalt Spy Photos

Combine the now-signature Chevrolet horizontally split grille with "fierce eye" headlamps and a rakish, coupe-like four-door roofline, and you've got the replacement for the Cobalt, coming in two years. Last week, Rick Wagoner dropped all kinds of hints about the car at General Motors' annual meeting, including the likelihood that it won't be called "Cobalt," making that car a one-generation model nameplate.

The new 2011 Chevrolet Cobalt will utilize GM's new global compact vehicle architecture, and will be shared globally--reportedly being sold abroad in similar form as the Chevrolet Nubira and and the Daewoo Lacetti abroad. The platform is also pegged to underpin the next-generation Saturn Astra and even the Chevrolet Volt.

Up front we find a new interpretation of Chevy's split grille that looks great on the smaller Cobalt flanked by sharp headlights that appear to crawl up the front fenders a bit. Meanwhile, the front bumper is occupied by three traditional air intakes and a pair of fog lamps. The first-ever look at the 2011 Chevrolet Cobalt's largely undisguised tail treatment also reminds us of the recently revealed Opel Insignia, with its BMW-inspired raised trunk line and side sculpting.
