China car manufacturer Brilliance unveiled its BS4 Station Wagon model earlier this week at 2008 Beijing Auto Show in China. For those who might not be familiar, Brilliance is BMW’s Chinese partner. Last year it had launched the sedan version of BS4 in the home market. The BS4 Wagon continues with the original front end design of the BS4 sedan, but the rear end has been transformed from sedan into wagon quite tastefully. Looking at the front grill of the wagon, you will realise how similar it is to BMW's trademark face grill.
The BS4 wagon is packed with a 1.8L Mitsubishi G93 4 cylinder producing a 134 hp at 6500 rpm. Both BS4 Sedan & Wagon have been designed and engineered by the famous Italian house, Pininfarina. So for most people interiors and exteriors of the car should be ok but same can't be said about its performance.
The Brilliance is aiming to get a decent foothold for BS4 in the European, and Chinese markets. For Europe the sale of both Brilliance BS4 wagon and sedan is expected to start by the end of this year.
